Review of The English Patient (1996) by Josh F — 24 May 2014
This was a stunningly beautiful movie with some brilliant performances. However I found there to be too many threads at times that I found slightly difficult to put together. I also think the full emotional resonance didn't hit me because the central romantic relationship was not as developed as it could have been.
It was still pretty epic though and the storylines surrounding Hana were sublime, as was Juliette Binoche.
