Review of The End of the Tour (2015) by Isaac B — 04 Aug 2015
Watching The End of the Tour, the audience really feels like they are being taken on this journey and interview with the main characters. Each camera angle came off as another body in the room. The single most important aspect of this film that had to be intriguing or entertaining is the many conversations between the two leads that make up most of the film.
Luckily, this is achieved. I can't say how exactly but these long and many times fascinating conversations about writing, literature, and life were conversations we've all had and could probably give some input into.
That is also a feature that made them easy to listen to. They weren't overly brainy but not dumbed down either. They seemed like real, on the spot conversations that were never scripted. The End of the Tour is slow paced and definitely not perfect but an enjoyable journey.
