Review of The End of the Tour (2015) by Isabelle D — 02 Feb 2016
A riveting film about a typical journalist trying to get dirt on a writer with problems deeper than drug use. Beautiful casting. Never would have thought that Jason Segal could play such a serious role especially with the emotion and change in character that he did.
Jesse Eisenberg is the only actor I could have seen in the role of the nerdy, overbearing, uncomfortably try-hard journalist. The bicker between the two that continued with an elementary "I'm not talking to you" attitude only worked because Eisenberg had us annoyed and uneased far before then.
