It just keeps getting better and better! Empire Strikes Back continues on the story from A New Hope as we follow Leia, Han, Luke and their two droids trying to put a stop to Darth Vader. This is the one episode that everybody quotes but I don't think all who quote it even watched it.
.. Anyways! The story is interesting and there are many surprises along the road. For one, Yoda! There's a long sequence in the middle of the movie with Yoda training Luke to become a jedi which brings us some truly memorable and awesome scenes.
Secondly, the ending. You all know what I'm talking about! This movie has one of the best plot twist endings in movie history! I'm not going to spoil anything here, though everyone knows what happens.
Also, I've managed to watch the original/theatrical version, not the special edition with improved effects and stuff so I can safely say that this movie does not look like it was made in 1980. Its effects and CGI is better than a lot of the movies from the 90s! It's a movie that is truly immortal.
The acting is still fantastic and the memorable ending is handled very well by Mark Hamill, it's a truly heartbreaking scene, especially if you haven't seen the prequels. The music is still great, nothing changed there.
All in all, even with George Lucas not directing this movie, this is a masterpiece.
