The Empire Strikes back delivers on all the promise of A New Hope and then some. Is it an action flick? A romance? A sci-fi/fantasy tale? A dramatic epic? Episode V is all these things and more, changing the standard for the moviegoing experience.
Frost that cake with the "Luke, I am your father" twist, and one can clearly see that Lucas put together an absolute masterpiece in the second installment of his classic trilogy.
