The first sequel to the original Star Wars is still, arguably, the best in the series. Deeper, richer, and more textured than the first film, The Empire Strikes Back expands the scope of Star Wars without sacrificing the thrills.
It's the Star Wars film that all others should aspire to. Again, the pre-1997 version is a classic of cinema.
