Review of The Emperor's New Groove (2000) by Ethan S — 20 Jul 2013
Anachronisms, hyperactivity, and large hams collide into one of the most comparatively bizarre features of the Disney catalogue. Plays more along the lines of an insane modern cartoon than the "higher-brow" earlier works of theirs, and manages to successfully capture the oft hilarious absurdism and moderate pointlessness of that genre.
Just don't go in expecting it to be anything like their other work, and you're bound to have fun.
