Review of The Emperor's New Groove (2000) by Rotten T — 18 Jun 2011
The Emperor's New Groove is a perfect example of a funny traditionally-animated (hand drawn) Disney film. I've never laughed so much in a film that was created for kids aged twelve and under. The humor is intelligent enough to make more mature audiences laugh, but kids will also find this movie entertaining as well (Kronk, for example? I loved his character).
The voice acting is top notch - David Spade and John Goodman make a fine duo in this film. The movie is a prime example of a Disney film that doesn't have to rely on some fancy Pixar CGI animation OR talking, singing animals.
The Emperor's New Groove frankly, is my favorite non-Pixar Disney film.
