I gotta say I am not a big fan of Disney's tendency of modernizing old stories with too many references to modern life. A more traditional approach would sometimes be more appropriate and charming.

Same goes for this film, which does not really feel as if it is taking place in ancient South America. The main character is also rather unlikable at first. Of course, this wouldn't be a Disney film if they didn't manage to entertain really well and turn the whole thing around.
