Review of The Elephant Man (1980) by Tom C — 04 Mar 2009
Upsetting, absorbing and agonising are the only three words I can think of for this movie. One of David Lynch's finest 'straight stories'. Performances are unparalleled and the pacing is perfect - a balance between painfully heart-wrenching and grotesquely fascinating.
A classic.
