A masterpiece through and through. Utilizing the beauty of black-and-white widescreen photography, David Lynch crafts a gorgeous but heart-wrenching movie. Painful, emotionally arresting, and totally effective in its aims, this is one of the great cinematic ventures of the 1980s.
