This was David lynch showing her cna do main-stream. The beganing is a little slow, but picks up about half way. hurt is fantastic as the elephant man John. You really feel for this character, because of the way he is treated just because of the way he looks.
Like he say's "people judge things they don't understand". it is unsettling and beautiful at the same time. this is a moving and remakable film. It effected me.
