Review of The Elephant Man (1980) by Thomas G — 27 Dec 2010
It is a well-acted, inteeligent and depressing film that should hav won best picture when it was nominated in 1981. There is great costume design and composed score, as well as a reasonable length. There is nothing that I like better (in film) than a film that knows when to end, and being a great film on top of that.
My only true complaint is that it is, some would say, too depressing. And it doesn't help that it is perposely filmed in black and white. However, that did not keep me from loving this.
