Really depressing movie. Props to Lynch for mimicking the old-time feel; however, I'm sad just thinking about the story. Lynch rendered John Hurt a striking likeness to the real John Merrick, and Anthony Hopkins is fantastic as always.
There's just no way around the sad sad plight of The Elephant Man.
