Karly Pilkoid's favourite film is not the best film ever made but is still very good. The acting is superb, particularly from the two leads who provoke strong emotional responses; Anthony Hopkins provoking empathy & John Hurt provoking sympathy.
It is also really well directed & the decision to shoot in black & white really pays off.
