The Elephant Man is the "un-Lynch" David Lynch film. There are a few moments that remind you of who is directing, but overall, it is a pretty traditional film. My problem with The Elephant Man stems from how sloooooooow it is.
Looking at this as a 5 act play, Act 3 is really touching, but everything else moves glacially.
