A true & wonderful story of a turn-of-the-century London surgeon and his attachments to his deformed patient John(Joseph) Merrick...A touching performance by John Hurt.There were no Academy Awards for Best Make-Up in 1980 ,but if so this film would have won it.
...A lesson of human Cruelty & Kindness ...Must see timeless classic...
