Review of The Eleanor Roosevelt Story (1965) by Jim H — 02 Jun 2013
This Oscar winning documentary profiles the First Lady and humanitarian crusader.
While I admit that I learned a lot I never would have known without this film, I nevertheless think this film is merely propaganda. It lauds Roosevelt incessantly, and the few criticisms it levels are quickly tempered.
Overall, this feels more like a eulogy than a documentary.
