Review of The Eiger Sanction (1975) by Private U — 23 Apr 2008
Eastwood is cool and highly believable as a committed and conciencious climber - notwithstanding the teeth-clenchingly embarrassing (hilarous?) dialogue, baddie stereotypes, plot holes and so on this is still a superb climbing film, notable for the fact that Eastwood did so many of the stunts himself and the final sequences are quite terrifying.
