Review of The Edukators (2004) by Alex S — 26 Nov 2007
One of the best films I have seen (remember I'm an anti-capitalist). This is fight club without the fight club and hollywood glamour and hallowness, it is the German youth rebellion face to face with the cogs of our capitalist machine.
A little naive, but that is the youth factor, so it's realistic really. The filming style is unconventional, a little documentary style at times, but that shouldn't detract from the storyline.
Ideas last... that's the kind of moral even though the machine keeps going on. Not perfect, but for getting close I still give it 5 stars and it's very European in nature, very un-hollywood (which is great).
