This movie balances happiness and emotional struggle in a high school teen, and it shows that there are many people with lives that are complicated. In Nadines case she was very happy until unfortunate events occured and made her feel depressed, but depression isnt something you deal with it is something you try to overcome which made this movie so great because it showed all of that.
