The only reason I am not giving this a higher rating is that it was not what I expected, which is to say, a comedy. This is a story about a socially awkward teenager trying to navigate a number of challenges.
Hailee Steinfeld did a wonderful job portraying Nadine, but I spent most of the movie just wishing I could reach out and help the kid.
