Review of The Edge of Seventeen (2016) by Blake L — 29 Nov 2016
While it doesn't live up to the potential of its raw material that would allow it to join the likes of Mean Girls and Easy A in the upper echelon of teen comedy awesomeness and its ending is way too neat for the mess that precedes it, this love letter to the Nadines of the world will hopefully lead Hailee Steinfeld to the career she deserves (seriously should have been Katniss) and Woody Harrelson is always a joy.
(But seriously, this movie made way too much sense to me. There's a line in there that I think I've pretty much said at some point concerning my own life).
