Review of The Edge of Seventeen (2016) by David C — 06 Feb 2017
The high school coming of age tale has been a genre of film that has been prevalent through the ages, which can often leave little space for inventiveness and individuality. Great news for this latest effort on the life as a teenager, as The Edge of Seventeen is not only funny but is extremly well-performed too.
It also has the dramatic underpinnings that enable you to engage in character issues and feelings, rather than the usual hedonistic and superfluous story threads that often dominate the screen.
