The whole movie hinges on Steinfeld's star-making turn as Nadine. I suppose if it doesn't ring true for you, you won't like this. For me it was spot-on. As a father to daughters I've seen elements of Nadine in my kids.
I think many others will too. I also think this might be Harrelson's year in the supporting actor category.
