Review of The Edge (1997) by Dion H — 22 Nov 2008
The plot synopsis really doesn't do this movie justice. It is one of my favorite (if not my all-time favorite) movies. It's really too bad that it isn't more well known. I'd recommend it to anyone.
While the action keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout, it's really not about the action. Rather, it's about the pyschological battle between passion and reason, and the physical battle between man and nature.
The soundtrack is also perhaps the best out of any movie I have ever seen (it's worth staying through the credits just to hear the music). If I can find it on CD I will buy it.
