Review of The Edge (1997) by Amy W — 28 Aug 2011
It's not enough for this film to strand its characters in the remote winter wilderness. Oh no. There is tension between the characters as they now have the perfect opportunity to do murder and blame it on the treacherous environment.
Fighting cold, hunger, exhaustion, and each other, they also end up repeatedly fighting off a HUGE bear. A real bear was trained for the stunts in this movie and jeem alive if those actors weren't wearing diapers for their scenes with it.
This movie has remarkable tension from situations with both man and beast as the characters refuse to lay down and die; each attempt at survival is great to watch. I highly recommend this movie.
