What sets the movie apart from other creature features and lost in the wilderness type of films is Anthony Hopkins role of Charles. He comes to life in a way that the other characters don't expect and don't appreciate (until later).
His character keeps you entertained through the film which ends in a slightly tragic and surprising twist.
