Stunning visuals. Heartwarming story. In the end, Footloose with subtitles and exotic locales. The camera intrudes, the slo-mo sequences are too self-aware. I really wanted to love this movie, but it's just Footloose with frills.
I am truly sorry for being cynical, but this movie is button-pushing polemic. It pushed all my buttons, to be sure. But still just Footloose with extraneous stuff.
