A Prairie Home Companion- 7/10- Highly enjoyable, touching, great performances, fluid direction, will rank with the bests of 2006, though not with Altmans best.
.
Bram Stoker's Dracula- 8/10- Gary Oldman is the ultimate Dracula in Francis Ford Coppolas lavish retelling of the classic tale. Though the exclusion of Keanu Reeves would have been welcome and the movie is quite incoherent, that wont stop it from quickly taking you under it's seductive spell.
The Family Stone- 6/10- Not the comedy it was advertised as being but is nevertheless a touching family drama, albeit a bitter sweet one.
The Dying Gaul- 6/10- Absolutely riveting with a great cast, though the ending may leave some wanting a bit more closure and not every point of the story is fully fleshed out.
.
Mission: Impossible III- 4/10- Hoffman is the only high point in this predictable and surprisingly unexciting installment in a mediocre franchise..
