This is not a great film. But it is not a bad one. High production values, decent acting, pretty good tension build up. Main criticisms are that it is formulaic, the climax squanders the tension and the explanation is implausible - but none of that makes it unwatchable.
For a much scarier found footage job along similar lines try Willow Creek.
