Review of The Dungeon Masters (2008) by Jimmy P — 14 Oct 2011
A very strange documentary into the lives of some "Dungeon Masters" of role playing and LARPing in America.
I am a massive geek at heart. I love my comic books and graphic novels, I love Star Wars, I love on-line gaming (PS3- MrSquidbeak if anyone wants to add me) but it is amazing to see people getting so warped up in there geekyness that they don't really live life!
As this documentary unfolds the people it follows talk about how hard it is to fit into normal everyday life. There relationships are short lived, failed marriages and crap partners, they have very bad or no job at all, no money no goals in life.
A 23 year old girl that likes to dress as a dark elf (head to toe in black body paint) says she hasn't had a real relationship and spends 90% of her life on-line playing World of Warcraft!
I truly didn't know that people get so warped up in there little world. This has to be seen.
