Review of The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) by Guido S — 11 Feb 2014
Despite having very little to do with the original series, this film is actually a lot of fun. Johnny Knoxville and Sean William Scott both are running moonshine around and running from the police when a business man comes by and tries to take their land in order to turn it into a coalmine.
He also plans to have the hearing during the big race so no one turns up to oppose it. The boys have to figure out a way to save the town. It does what you would expect, but it is actually a lot of fun and works despite being unfaithful to the source.
Jessica Simpson isn't utilized that much, and that is probably for the best. At the end of the day, it is fun to just see the General driving around and doing jumps and that's why I mostly like it.
