Although there weren't any raving reviews of this movie, the general consensus seemed to be relatively positive. After watching it, I don't get it. It's your typical teen movie with your typical themes.
Great, if that's you're thing. Boring and predictable if you expect anything more from it. This movie might be for middle schoolers but I guess I just had high hopes. It seemed so witty in the trailers; I expected something Easy A level and that was never achieved but it's still watchable.
Certain details of the story could've done with more development (i.e. am I supposed to like Amell's character?), however it was well led by Mae Whitman and she deserves praises for trying to breath some life into the script and her character.
One thing it does have going for it though is that is was better than Mean Girls 2.
