Review of The DUFF (2015) by Ivan K — 15 Jun 2015
Mae Whitman ("Her?") absolutely rules in this postmodern take on the "teen movie," one that does a nice job of capturing the "social media" generation of teenagers. As a high school teacher, the portrayals of Bianca and her friends are unfortunately pretty accurate, and while it hits a fair number of teen movie cliches, the principal leads are so charming it's easy to forgive.
