Hailed as the next mean girls or clueless, The Duff ends up falling short of these and is just average. It stays too close to a familiar formula that any one over the age of fourteen has seen several times over and there is not enough new to offer.
That being said if it pops up on cable down the road I wouldn't be running for the remote.
