The Dry is the closest movie this summer to Mare of Eastown. How? For starters, you've got an unsolved murder from years ago that brings back DetectiveEric Bana to his hometown to investigate a tragic murder-suicide that involved one of the original suspects.
Once you get past the Australian accents, you can enjoy a well written, yet somber who-done- it play out. Who's hiding long kept secrets? Just like Mare of Eastown there are a couple of red herrings that lead you off the path.
Great acting. Great cast.
