Review of The Drop (2014) by Roxanne D — 23 Jul 2015
This was a film about power. Who seems like they own it, and who really owns it. Reminded me of Shakespeare's Richard The Second. A crown doesn't make you king, so what does? Power fluctuates, it never stays in one place.
Bob proved that. You could say this was also a film about the inevitability of crime, and Bob's appropriation of it and its hierarchical structure. Crime shifts, and with it, its right hand.
