Review of The Drop (2014) by Garrison E — 23 Nov 2015
A stellar performance from Tom Hardy and a solid final go round for Gandolfini. The Drop reminds me of 70's crime dramas in the same vein as Mean Streets and The French Connection. No outrageous special effects.
No wise cracking secondary characters with zero depth. The Drop is just a lowdown solid film. As low and as down as each character we come into contact with.
