Review of The Drop (2006) by Anna C — 16 Jan 2015
Brings back the good old days when men didn't laugh - hardly showed any emotions at all other than fear and excitement - and noone is innocent - other than the women, of course. hardy and gandolfini represent the former with a wonderful air about them, while rapace remains a bit too low-key.
the plot idles along for a fair amount of time, but the end has a couple of surprises to spare. also great to watch is the run-down scenery of brooklyn.
