Review of The Drop (2006) by Paul G — 28 Jan 2015
I was very excited to see this movie because not only is Dennis Lehane my favorite author, but he wrote the book behind my second favorite movie of all time, Mystic River, as well as Shutter Island and Gone Baby Gone (both 4 star movies in my book).
The Drop, however, was a complete letdown. The choppy plot line and ineffective cast failed to mask a simply boring and uneventful story. If I came into this movie with low expectations, maybe it would have gotten 3 stars.
Unfortunately that wasn't the case.
