[font=Arial Narrow][size=1][size=3][color=black][font='Arial Narrow']Although this may sound a bit rash, seeing as the majority of Ferarra fans seem to pick either King of New York or Bad Lieutenant, but I honestly think that The Driller Killer is Abel Ferarra's underrated masterpiece.[/font][/color][color=black][font=Tahoma][/font][/color][/size].

[size=3][color=black][font='Arial Narrow']The first time I saw The Driller Killer I thought it was amusing, fun, had its moments and was very original and has such artistic merits for what has been bunched in with the traditional exploitation movies.[/font][/color][color=black][font=Tahoma][/font][/color][/size].

[size=3][color=black][font='Arial Narrow']Though I recently re-watched it and I think I well and truly see just how unique this movie really is. After re-watching it I just felt so exited by it, it was like the feeling I got when I first watched Taxi Driver, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Angst and Society (Just a few of the movies that have given me such an overwhelmingly exiting rush after watching them).[/font][/color][color=black][font=Tahoma][/font][/color][/size].

[size=3][color=black][font='Arial Narrow']In my honest opinion, I think Abel Ferarra's skills tend to be either comical, sloppy, a misfire or an accidental masterpiece. Though I am shocked to see that Driller Killer is seen as 'one of the movie small little sloppy movies Ferarra made before he was able to achieve a substantial budget and concept'.[/font][/color][color=black][font=Tahoma][/font][/color][/size].

[color=black][font='Arial Narrow'][size=3]I'm shocked because, I think Driller Killer is the only movie Ferarra has made that's just a plain 'good' movie all around and that exceeds any expectations and works extremely well on such a tight budget.[/size][/font][/color][color=black][font=Tahoma][/font][/color].
