Review of The Double Life of Véronique (1991) by Daniel W — 09 Aug 2008
Kieslowski at his finest. Beautiful and amazing use of color, with almost every scene tinted to a suitable emotional hue, he recognises, captures and illustrates beauty in the most simple of objects, situations and moments making this a joy to watch even without the storyline.
Watch at least twice for the best effect. The truly glorious Irene Jacob completes what is one of the finest works of cinema.
