Review of The Double Life of Véronique (1991) by Lemmy C — 02 Feb 2009
So cool! This movie is so personal to watch, it's like you're reading this girls diary and somehow at the same time, your own. It's such an original idea, and Kieslowski's pace, and attention to tiny precious details create such a unique world.
The music haunts, but somehow the story does one better! Completely unique in that although the characters lives are so foreign, the film seems so entirely personal. As if it were delivered to each viewer by hand from Kieslowski himself.
Very difficult to describe, but worth viewing doesn't begin to describe this movie.
