Review of The Double Hour (2009) by Daniel B — 04 Aug 2011
It's a bit strange, a bit odd and you're never quite sure what is what but that is definately a large part of the charm of 'The Double Hour. A chambermaid and an ex-cop meet at a speed dating event and a romance develops.
But during a romantic getaway things suddenly take a dark turn. This italian thriller/drama reminded me a little of the french film 'Tell no one' It has some interesting story arcs and your perceptions of the different characters are constantly changing as their pasts slowly get revealed.
I picked out a few lazy plot points but nothing to get too excited about. Overall it's an original and interesting film with two excellent central performances.
