Review of The Double Hour (2009) by Mohd S — 09 Apr 2012
I probably would've liked this movie a lot better if the majority of the plot wasn't exactly like an episode of Futurama, one of the better episodes of the series in fact. Of course the events are different, but the idea behind it is EXACTLY like that episode.
The movie is still good however with some good and tense moments. I think the movie, to me, sort of falls apart after the "twist" because it just felt cheap, even if it does make sense with the context of this story, it just felt like a cheap way to pay off what had been going on up until that point.
The acting is strong, Kseniya Rappoport is good in her role and the rest of the cast is as well, though nothing outstanding. So overall a good, if disappointing, movie.
