Review of The Double (2014) by Lou A — 04 Nov 2014
Richard Ayoade's dark and mesmerizingly eerie thriller proves that he is a uniquely stylish director. Every face, image, and color (particularly a tantalizing shade of blue) contributes in bringing his haunting and dreamlike world to life.
Although it may end too enigmatically for some, it adds to the film's tone and abstract aura, and is delightfully unsettling. Eisenberg also gives two of his best performances yet.
