Review of The Doors (1991) by Ray H — 14 Jul 2008
These films are breathtaking Oliver Stone is a great film maker who combines realism and entertainment into each and every one of his films. When I watched Born on the Fourth of July I felt a strong pride in my country as Tom Cruises character Ron Kovic does, the film makes you feel what Kovic feels and think the way Kovic thinks- you never get sick of Cruise either- he delivers a good solid performance that should be seen by evvery strong American.
The Doors is so visualy and mentaly breathtaking and Val Kilmer's performance is probably one of the best ever given, not the best but dont under estimate his performance because he did not recieve or get nominated for any major awards his performance is without a doubt a great wonderful breathtaking acting makes you want to get up and move.
If you like the Doors, after you watch this you will love them (just like me)- its a film to cherish- it'll take you to another world just like films are supposed to. Watch both of these films, sink into these films, and let them take you for a ride.
