Review of The Doors (1991) by Eric S — 13 Nov 2009
I like The Doors, but they are not a band to be looked upon. The things Jim Morrison did throughout his life are truly horrific, but I also think Oliver Stone put his own vision into it. It is hard to believe that someone could consume as many drugs as he did and survive past teenage years.
Many of their songs are just average at best also, but I love songs like "Peace Frog", "Break on Through", and "The End". I think we should just focus on their music and forget about all the other personal nonsense that is depicted in the film.
