Review of The Doors (1991) by Gabriella P — 05 Oct 2009
It is different than most music biopics, but it never really rises above a documentary. Kilmer is good as Morrison, but Ryan is rather annoying, which may have been the point, but you don't really care enough about the character to give a shit. The music is worked into the film well, so its at least a pretty good movie for Doors fans. The fact is that it just doesnt sustain your attention for the entire length of the movie. Uneven may be the word to describe it, but not bad.
6.1/10.
